Braylen Landrum is wrapping up a very successful 4th year of wrestling with a record of 47-12. This record has included a tremendous amount of success both during the regular season and in post season tournaments. Braylen placed 1st in the OYWA league tournament at 82lbs. He continued his success by placing 1st at OYWA sectionals and also a 3rd place at districts. This earned him his first ever OYWA state tournament berth. Braylen fought but came up just one match short of placing. Braylen turned his focus to the postseason where he wrestled in the OAC districts and was also able to secure a 1st place finish. This also achieved him a seeding in the OAC state tournament where he finished 5th in the state for his age and weight. Braylen also placed 2nd in the Oh-Way regional. In this state tournament he secured a 4th place finish and a national qualification. Braylen then took to the national level for the first time in his career. He faced some adversity with his first match loss to a Michigan state champion but was able to win his next 4 matches earning him not only a 3rd place finish but also All-American Status. Braylen looks to continue his success in the Tournament of Champions on 4/22/2017. Congratulations Braylen!
