On Thursday, September 29, 2016 – Garfield Heights Middle School hosted its first annual Bulldog Cross Country Invitational at Garfield Park Reservation. Participating teams include Garfield Heights, Mentor Ridge, Bedford Heskett, and Laurel School. Despite the poor weather conditions the race was a huge success. Parents and coaches described Garfield Park as one of the best places they ran cross country all season. Congratulations to Garfield Heights’ own, 7th grader Amere Talley for finishing 1st place in the Boys Race with a time of 12:22.1. Other finishers for the Bulldogs include Boys 7th Place Cameron Spacht, 8th Place Trevone Hill,   15th Place Anthony Hemel, 22nd Place Jose Mendoza, 23rd Place William Goins and for the Girls 12th Place Briana Adams, 14th Place Haley Rankin, 17th Place Sarah Zarrelli, 18th Place Briana Fields, 20th Place Raina Thomas.  The Garfield Heights Middle School Cross Country team is only in its third year of the program and look forward to many more!
